The body helps shape the signal

Most electrical stimulation devices deliver a preset signal. Once treatment begins, that signal remains largely unchanged, regardless of how the body responds.

InterX works differently.

When the InterX electrodes are applied to the skin, the body becomes part of the electrical circuit. The device continuously measures changes in skin impedance and automatically adjusts its output in response. As the body's response changes, so does the stimulation.

This continuous feedback loop is what makes InterX interactive.

How the technology adapts

InterX uses bio-adaptive neurostimulation to continuously adjust stimulation throughout treatment. Rather than delivering a fixed output, the device responds to the body's changing electrical state in real time.

That adaptive process happens continuously through four integrated elements.

The skin becomes part of the electrical circuit, allowing the device to continuously measure changes in skin impedance and identify neurologically active treatment sites.

As stimulation changes the skin's impedance, the device immediately detects those changes and automatically adjusts its waveform and output. This continuous feedback helps maintain a responsive signal throughout treatment.

It concentrates.



Closely spaced electrodes allow high-density stimulation to be delivered precisely where it is needed without broad muscle contraction commonly associated with conventional electrical stimulation.

It repeats.



This feedback loop continues throughout treatment, allowing the device to continuously respond as the body's electrical state changes.

Why InterX® is so effective

The InterX device identifies and treats the areas that are showing low impedance. These are areas of skin where nerve endings are displaying a response to injury or pain. The stimulation is delivered exactly where the body needs it.

 

Bio-Adaptive Neurostimulation

The high amplitude, short pulse width, dynamic waveform elicits a greater response from the body than other electrical stimulation. The InterX has closely spaced electrodes which means the current is very high density, very specific and not restricted by muscle contraction. The waveform changes constantly as the body responds to the stimulation and pain relief. This stops the body accommodating to the stimulation making it more effective. It also means that there is no need to use messy conductive gels, just applying water will enhance treatment.

Treatment time that matches the need

The time needed for treatment can vary but averages approx. 15 minutes. Very short treatments can be used on the sidelines of a sports game taking only a few minutes. When treating more difficult chronic conditions, the session may last up to 30 minutes as there is a larger area of the body to scan when incorporating neurologically related areas.
